Jonesville – Grady Ralph Long, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born October 19, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Ralph and Nellie Hall Long. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Brendle; brother, Harold Long. Surviving is his wife, Peggy Smith Long; son, Ralph Daniel (Janie) Long; grandchildren, Josiah Long, Julianne Long; sister-in-law, Carolyn Long; and other family members. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to Boonville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 178, Boonville, NC 27011, or Rincon United Methodist Church, 107 Savannah Ave., Rincon, GA 31326, or Children's Home Society, P.O. Box 14608, Greensboro, NC 27415. Grady Ralph was our mailman for years when I was growing up on Richmond Hill Church Rd. He was a good friend to my family all those years. You all are in our prayers.

Mere words can’t express the sadness we have in our hearts in the passing of this dear man. We have known Grady and Peggy for well over 30 years and refer to them a second parents! We love you Peggy and will miss Grady tremendously. God bless you during this difficult time.
