Harry K. Land, 82, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025.
He was born January 30, 1943. Ken graduated from Morehead High School and continued his education with a master's degree in engineering from N.C. State and a bachelor degree in education from UNC at Chapel Hill. Ken was also an on Eagle Scout in his youth. He was the owner of the Summit Street Inn and the Colonel Ludlow house for many years in Winston-Salem. Most of Ken's life he resided in Winston Salem. In 2020 Ken moved to Charlotte and resided there until his death. He loved shagging, tango dancing and investing in the stock market. He will be missed by Chris Land (Marion) and Judy Land close friends, Liz (Tom) Johnson, and Jennifer (Tony) Price.
Private funeral service will be at a later date.
Carolina Cremation of Charlotte is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Ken worked for my father at the NC Advancement School and I loved him so much. He took me on my only motorcycle ride. Ken was a wonderful teacher and friend, his students were lucky to have him. He was very kind to this teenaged girl with a crush.
