Henry Metzger Obituary
April 8, 1933 - December 19, 2023
Henry Anthony Metzger ("Hank"), age 90, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home with all his children and longtime friend by his side. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 8, 1933, the son of Henry Abraham Metzger and Mary Barbara (Prion) Metzger. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Henrietta Reed and Viola Tellez.
He is survived by his three children, Mark Metzger and wife Stephanie Metzger, Lisa Osteen and husband Sam Osteen, and Pamela Vick-Moore and husband Tripp Moore. Grandchildren Taylor Osteen and wife Danielle Osteen, AnnMarie Elliott and husband Dustin Elliott, Jessica Vick, David Vick, Matthew Moore and great grandchild Isabella Osteen. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Genton and husband Daryll Genton and niece Darla Morgan and husband Tom Morgan, and his life-long friend and the mother of his children, Patricia Metzger.
A small service honoring his life is being planned for January. Details will be announced under the Fischer Funeral Care obituary site- www.fischerperimeterchapel.com.

So sorry to hear of Henry´s passing. (Hank/Henry) as we knew him in our community. I Will miss our conversations.
Henry is leaving behind a wonderful and loving wife, so dedicated and caring for him and raising his children. Janet was so caring and attentive to Henry in his dwindling days. We will surly miss Henry as part of our community and hope that Janet will remain with us.
I pray that Henry´s children will remember Janet´s care and friendship, she love each of you!

I was so sad to hear of the death of Hank Metzger. He and Janet have lived across the street from my wife and I in Clemmons for several years and we enjoyed our conversations with them. We know they were involved with their church and loved our Lord. Hank and Janet loved to sit on their patio or porch and ride the neighborhood in their golf cart. They always had a home-made dish to share with their neighbors. I enjoyed talking to Hank about his career and the startup of the Gravely Tractor Plant in Clemmons. Hank will be missed.
