Mr. Jack D. Marshall Sr., beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie A. and Alvah H. Marshall. Jack was a graduate of Reynolds High School where he was an All-State player and on the football team that tied for the 1958 3A State Championship. He went on to play football at the University of South Carolina. He returned to Winston-Salem where he worked as a mechanical contractor. His wit and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife, Martha; sons Jack D. Marshall Jr. and wife Donna, Keith M. Marshall and wife Carla, and Patrick H. Marshall; a daughter, Cristi M. Bures and husband Peter; his brother, Charlie A. Marshall Jr. and wife April; sisters Jimmye M. Olivey and Sandra M. Riley and husband George M. Smith; his grandchildren, Scott Marshall, Nate Marshall, Katherine Bures, triplets Anna, Maggie and Jack Marshall III, and Sarah Marshall; and also many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will be at the home on Pinebluff Road. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Steve Clark, Jack, and I spent many weekends together going to parties, the beach, etc. He was a really fun guy and we will miss him so much. My condolences to the family and friends of Jack. Don
