James "Jim" Reid Caudle

James "Jim" Reid Caudle, 80, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., Jim was the son of the late George Caudle and Mary S. Caudle.

Jim was a proud graduate of Kings College and enjoyed a long and successful career with AT&T before retiring. He was known for his keen eye as a photographer and his love of fishing; hobbies that reflected his appreciation for the beauty and quiet of the natural world.

A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years, Jim's faith guided his life and his relationships. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and gentle spirit.

Jim is survived by his loving partner, Susan Allred; his niece, Meredith Peters; his brother-in-law, Bruce Peters; and his best friend, John Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nancy Peters; and his nephew, Joel Peters.

A visitation to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Sunday, November 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home in Winston-Salem. A private burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Rural Hall, N.C. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
