Whiteheart, Jan Duncan
March 7, 1950 - February 20, 2021
Jan Duncan Whiteheart, age 70, of Winston-Salem, died Saturday, February 20th, 2021 following a debilitating stroke suffered in October 2019. She was born in Winston-Salem on March 7, 1950 to the late C.H. and Marian Duncan. Jan graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and Peace College. She spent most of her adult career working in the family business of Duncan Music Company, and later worked at Salem Creek.
She is survived by her son, Clay Whiteheart and wife Katy of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Tinsley, Shelby, and Paisley; sister, Donna Boyer and husband Duncan of Woodstock, GA; nephew, Michael Kloppenburg and wife Lindsay; additional nieces and nephews, Kristina and husband John, Stephanie and husband Kory, Geoffrey, and Vincent; special friends, Susan and Sammy Jones and Judi Chandler; and other cousins, aunts, and uncles.
The family plans a Memorial Service at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of The Oaks at Forsyth for their excellent and compassionate care over the last year, especially during an unprecedented pandemic.
