Joan Beroth Doub

DOUB CONOVER - Joan Beroth Doub, 79, of Conover went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 09, 2010. Born March 11, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Elbert E. Beroth, Sr. and Alice Whitman Beroth. Joan was a native of Forsyth County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She volunteered her time and service throughout Catawba County. Surviving are, her husband of 59 years, M. G. Doub; son, Gray Doub and wife, Ginger, of Claremont; daughters, Sandy Docherty and husband, Don, of Conover and Alice Whitener and husband, Kevin, of Hickory; grandchildren, Michael Doub, Chad Bumgarner and Leah Whitener; and great-grandchildren, Mikey Doub, A. J. Whitener and Daisy Marie Whitener. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Conover on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mickey Moree officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the Service at the Church from 9:45 - 10:45 AM. A private entombment will be held at Catawba Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210 or First United Methodist Church of Conover, PO Box 235, Conover, NC 28613.
