Joe Leagans Obituary
June 18, 1949 - December 24, 2022
Joe Mark Leagans, 73, passed away peacefully at the nursing home, Thursday, December 22, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe T. and Florence T. Leagans; two sisters, Phyllis Leagans Green and Cheryl Leagans Mahan.
He is survived by one sister, Cynthia Leagans Cleary of Clemmons, and one brother, Bruce T. Leagans of Lewisville.
He is also survived by one niece, Katherine "Katie" E. Leagans of Cary; two nephews, Jarrod Cleary of Winston-Salem and Christopher Green of Aberdeen; and one great-nephew, Dawson C. Cleary of Clemmons.
Mark was an Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 27 at Bethel United Methodist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC 27030 and/or Bethel United Methodist Church, 2390 Bethel Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.

Mark was a friend since the first grade. I seldom saw him but the times we did we always enjoyed each other´s company. I will miss you my friend.
