To the Family of John Banner,Sr.
Mrs. Banner & family, I had the opportunity of meeting Mr. John through working at the same warehouse as he did in the late years of 1970. He worked for RJR and I worked for RJR. We both worked in the warehouse up on 24th street. I worked in the opposite end of the building. He worked on the loading dock. I was the receptionist for the warehouse where the records were stored and office supplies were kept. One day, I had the opportunity of meeting John because I had to locate one of our personnel who was at the dock.
It was a real surprise to learn that we were neighbors and he knew my husband's family, and my husband, Jim. My in-laws were James & Joy Boyd who are now deceased but John came to the house to visit upon their passing. Well, I had to retire early from RJR prior to his retirement because of a disability.
One evening he came to see Jim and I to see how I was doing - a real surprise and a pleasant visit. Please accept our sincere sympathy on the passing of your dear husband, John and to your children.
He was well liked, a pleasure to work with, and a devoted Christian.
We know you will miss him, but pray that sweet memories will linger throughout the coming years to sustain you along with your faith in our God. Our prayers are with you and yours during this most difficult time. May God bless you all. With our sincere sympathy,
Jim and Linda Boyd

To the family of Mr. John,
I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry to hear of Mr. John's passing. He was a wonderful and kind man. I met him at Forsyh Hospital. I was the ambassador that took his meal selections from Food and Nutrition. I waited on him each time he was there and he was always so kind. He appreciated what ever I brought him. He will be greatly missed.Jo Ann Williamson
