Judy Brinkley Obituary

BRINKLEY LEXINGTON - Ms. Judy Ann Anderson Brinkley, 67, of Post Oak Trail, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010. She was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Davie County to the late Hayden Willard and Irene Elizabeth Boger Anderson. Ms. Brinkley was a member of Pinedale Christian Church in Winston-Salem where she was a member of the singles group and had many special friends. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Anderson; and stepmother, Barbara Austin Anderson. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Taylor (Gary) of Cooleemee, Karla Miller of Mocksville and Brooke Tate (Dathan) of Lexington; a son, Bris Bennett (Barbara) of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Erika, Christie, Kelsey, Colby, Abram and Asher; great-grandchildren, Caroline and (soon to be) Bentley; stepgrandchildren, Coleman and Kacee; stepgreat-granddaughter, Emma; two brothers, Arnold Anderson (Anna Lou) of Mocksville and Doug Anderson (Brenda) of Kernersville; and two half brothers, Alan Anderson and Randy Anderson. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Eaton Funeral Chapel in Mocksville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service and at other times at the home of her daughter, Teresa, 196 Main St., Cooleemee. The family requests that memorials be considered for Pinedale Christian Church Singles Class, 3395 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Teresa and family, I was so sorry to her of your mother's passing. Ted and I were good friends in the seventies with Judy and Larry. My heart goes out to all of you. I will always remember her beautiful smile and great hair. she was a lovely lady. I know you will miss your mother.
