Kara Weatherman

Kara O'Ferrell Weatherman, 59, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born October 23, 1966 in Forsyth County to Glenn Davis O'Ferrell and Alta Reed O'Ferrell. Kara graduated from Parkland High School class of 1984. Throughout her life she worked various jobs with her favorite positions being in child care and working at a dental lab. In July of 1989 she married Gayle Weatherman. Kara was a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers. Kara had the gift of care for others and the talent of attention to detail in art. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, and a brother, Stephen Wayne O'Ferrell. Kara is survived by her two sons, Zayne Weatherman of Winston-Salem and Lance Weatherman of Greensboro; granddaughter, Za' Niya Rae Weatherman; brother, Glenn D. "Rick" O'Ferrell; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Pinedale Christian Church on November 18, 2025 at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Pinedale Christian Church.
