HOOTS KENNETH WRIGHT HOOTS JUNE 1, 1934 - JUNE 17, 2009 ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA Kenneth W. Hoots, 75, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 following a battle with cancer. The son of the late Harvey and Ila Hoots, Ken grew up in Winston Salem, NC and attended Gray High School. He was an apparel salesman until his retirement. He retired to Orange Beach and attended Orange Beach United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Jack Hoots of Winston Salem, NC and Bob Hoots of Crossville, TN. He is survived by his wife Norma Hoots and children Kelly Hoots of Montgomery, Al; Tracy and Randy Hoexter of Roswell, GA; DeAnna and Luke Hadnot of Birmingham, AL; Haley Hopper of Orange Beach, AL; and Paul Hopper of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by brothers Kelly Hoots of Ocala, FL; Darrell and Gaye Hoots of Winston Salem, NC and sister in law Mary Lois Hoots of Crossville, TN. Ken had the privilege of loving four grandchildren Avery, Cole, Ila and Ginny Rose. A service celebrating Ken' s life will be held at the Orange Beach United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made to Orange Beach United Methodist Church, 28751 Canal Road, Orange Beach, AL 36561 or Baldwin County Habitat for Humanity, 12678 County Road 65N, Foley, AL 36535.
