Kenneth Wright Obituary

PINNACLE - Mr. Kenneth Hill Wright, 59, of Pinnacle died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born June 24, 1947, in Forsyth County to Byron Hill Wright and Josephine Odham Wright. Mr. Wright was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 38 years of service. He was a member of Ardmore Church of Christ, but attended Olive Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Little Rock as the admiral's photographer during the Mideast crisis. Surviving are his wife, Karen Joyce Wright of the home; his daughter, Amber Michelle Wright and her fiance, Jason Stogner; his parents, Byron and Josephine Wright of Winston Salem; three sisters, Barbra Wright of, Winston Salem, Karen (Larry) Giddens of Clemmons, and Kathy (John) Thacker of Kernersville; and a half brother, Donald Yountz of Clemmons. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Olive Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mitch Robertson and the Rev. Colen Forrest officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 13, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain, which is assisting the Wright Family.
