To my family:
I apologize that I can't be there in person for the awesome celebration of Daddy's homegoing, however I will be rejoicing with you as I travel today and praying for your comfort.

I love you all and I am so glad that God allowed me to meet and becomes best friends with Cynt, and claim MIKEY as my God-Son, and then be welcomed as a daughter of Lewis and Ansi, and sister to Felicia, Vee Vee and sometimes Winkey. I just want you to know how much our relationship means to me. I am so blessed to have you all in my life and to have had him in my life.

You all are very special, and the kids and I will see you when I return.

May the peace of God guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,

I thank God that I had the privilege of knowing Rev. Crawford. Words of tribute seem appropriate yet hollow at a time like this. So we will let the record of my friend's life speak for itself: From early years he served God with distinction. He ministered in the Sunday School, Bible Study, and any where he was needed. He served with dignity and diligence.

Two loves could always be seen in his life; a love for God and a love for people. For such a heritage, we are much richer for having known such a saint.

"Farewell, old friend.
We walked together many a year;
The joy of ages past we shared;
We laughed, we cried, we did our best.
Today is not a final good-bye,
For we shall one day meet again
In a place where we shall never depart;
For the sweetness of God shall be ours.
So until we meet again,
Farewell, old friend."
