Lindsay Tise Obituary

Lindsay Aldene Tise, Sr.

Dec 28, 1918 - Nov 15, 2025

After an incredible life of 106 years, 10 months, and 18 days, Lindsay Aldene Tise, Sr. went home to be with our Lord on November 15, 2025. Born on December 28, 1918 to William Cicero and Laura Mae Brandon Tise, Lindsay was the eighth of nine children, a life-long resident of Winston-Salem, and a devout member of Fairview Moravian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, the love of his life, Frances Amelia Ivester Tise, his oldest son, Lindsay Aldene Tise, Jr., his parents, and his brothers and sisters.

From supervising the loading of Liberty Ships during World War II, to building "Frances's house" with his own hands in 1950, to earning an advanced 3 year Radio-Television Technician degree in 1952, to administering Bocock-Stroud's television and electronics sales and service division until his retirement, to self-managing his real estate investments, to completing two hour workouts three mornings a week with the HELPS program at Wake Forest University, to winning four National Senior Games gold medals in golf, to enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lindsay's life was full of love, devotion, and accomplishments, due to his relentless energy and faith. He was honest, caring, intelligent, charming, resourceful, humble, and grateful. Lindsay loved the Lord, his family, his home, his many friends, chocolate, Indian motorcycles, singing, and golf.

Lindsay is survived by his son, Tim Tise (Martha), of Cumming, Ga., his daughter-in-law, Betty Tise (Lindsay, Jr.), of Hartwell, Ga., his granddaughter, Taylor Tise Szoke (Clay), of Bogart, Ga., his granddaughter, Meredith Tise Boyer (David), of Odessa, Fla., his granddaughter, Jennifer Tise Jones (Cam), of Buford, Ga, his grandson, David Tise, of Carlsbad, NM, his grandson, Eric Tise (Leah), of Waialua, Hawaii; his great grandchildren, Sutton and Jax Szoke, Marshall and Lincoln Boyer, and Reagan and Reese Jones; his dear friends, Linda Phelps, Eddie Hubbard, and Dana Peck, as well as a host of caring family and friends, and the wonderful staff at Trinity Elms Assisted Living.

A graveside service for Lindsay will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 2 p.m. at God's Acre in Old Salem. Salem Funerals and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements (336-722-6122). In lieu of flowers, Lindsay's family requests donations to Fairview Moravian Church. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
