Lorene Marsh Obituary

MARSH KING - Mrs. Lorene Harris Marsh, 68, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008, at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1940, in Surry County to the late Henry and Gertie Marion Harris. Mrs. Marsh was a member of King Christian Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and craft making. Mrs. Marsh was courageous and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her first priority and main goal in life. Mrs. Marsh will truly be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Junior A. Marsh; four daughters, Patricia Bailey and husband Greg of King; Judy Phelps and husband David of Clemmons; Debbie Booth and husband Jeff of Westfield; and Karen Wall and husband Todd of King; seven grandchildren, Buddy East, Brandais Phelps, Casey and Hannah Booth; Tyler Parker; and Quinton and Evan Wall; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Mikayla East; two sisters, Dorothy Barnes and husband Frank and Ruby Roberts and husband Arnold; two brothers, Hubert Harris and David Harris and wife Faye; and also many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, with Pastor Randall Smith officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to King Christian Center, P.O. Box 1706, King, NC 27021.
