Lucius May Obituary

MAY WINSTON-SALEM ~ Lucius "Pap" May June 1, 1944 ~ Aug. 28, 2011 Mr. Lucius "Pap" May, 67, formerly of 860 File Street, Apt A., Winston-Salem, NC departed this life at the Wake Forest Baptist Health Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was born on June 1, 1944 in Darlington, SC to the late Elijah Robinson and Cora Jackson. He worked as cement spreader. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry (Alma) Brown; uncle, Leroy (Leona) May; aunt, Mattie Williamson; and a brother, Solomon Brown. He leaves to mourn his loss: three sisters, Thelma (Samuel) Trapp of Delaware, Mary Williamson of the city, and Georgia (Bobby) Stroman of Eloree, SC; one brother, Lonnie Williamson of the city; a devoted niece Charlotte Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 2, 2011 at Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle SD Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Friday at the Chapel.
