Mrs. Mae Frances McRae, 92, was born on July 14 in Chesterfield, SC to the late Harmon and Helen McQueen-McFarlin. Mrs. McRae transitioned to the other side of glory on Monday, January 16, 2023. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Vincent McRae Sr. and Glenn McRae; siblings, William McFarlin, James B. McFarlin, Margaret M. Lowrance, and Mildred M. Dobson. Mrs. McRae is survived by her children Dorothy McRae-Pettus, Lois Virginia McRae-Burks, Phyllis McRae, Greg (Quenna) McRae of Athens, AL, Cheryl (Kenneth) McRae Inzar, Wylie McRae, Valeria McRae of Jonesboro, GA, and Lynetta McRae; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as siblings, Floretta M. Gregory, Preston (Priscilla) McFarlin, and Runetta M. Patterson. Public viewing will be held Monday, January 23, 12 to 6 p.m. at Hooper Funeral Home. Family visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 24, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Zion Memorial Baptist Church, with funeral service following at 12. Service will also be live streamed on Zion Memorial's Facebook page. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net.
