HIGH POINT, N.C. – Marcus Newsome Tuttle, 79, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Hospice Home of High Point.

Born April 2, 1946, in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late Dwight L. Tuttle and the late Thelma Newsome Tuttle.

Marcus graduated from North High School in June 1964. He went on to attend and graduate college from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., June 9, 1968, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design.

Marcus worked for Alderman Co. as a set designer from 1970 to 1983. Then, he went on to work as a supervisor in showroom design from 1983 to 1994 for Thomasville Furniture. Following, he worked for Pearson Furniture as a designer and media graphics from 1997 to 2008.

He was affiliated with ASID, American Society of Interior Designers and Lincoln Owners Club of America.

Mark's passion was collecting car models and car memorabilia. He especially loved all things Lincoln and Cadillac.

He had many special pets through his life, including Melton, Miss D., Panther, and Ida Mae. He was a supporter of Animal Rescue and Foster Program in Greensboro, N.C., and SPCA of the Triad.

He is survived by his triplet brother, Michael Tuttle (Linda); nephews, Jamie Tuttle, Lee Tuttle (Julie), David Tuttle (Megan) and Doug Tuttle (Laurie); niece, Lisa Tuttle Meade (Jim); and special friend, Ghermo Sanchez.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, L. Gray Tuttle; and triplet sister, Mary Ann Tuttle.

Donations to remember Marcus can be sent to Animal Rescue and Foster Program of Greensboro, N.C., arfpnc.com, SPCA of the Triad (triadspca.org), Hospice of the Piedmont, or King Moravian Church of King.

Gathering of family and friends will be conducted from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point.

A private inurnment at King Moravian Church will be held at a later date.
