Maurice Edmonds Obituary

EDMONDS GREENSBORO Maurice Edmonds, II Sept. 17, 1998 - Jan. 7, 2013 Maurice Edmonds, II, 14, was born September 17, 1998 and passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Maurice, affectionately known as "Reece" or "Chubby", was an eighth grade student at Northwest Guilford Middle School. He was an amazing athlete who had great potential. His desire was to become a professional athlete. He played basketball, and was a member of his Middle School team. He played short stop although he knew how to play all positions for The Perfect Game, an outside recreational baseball team. He was a team player. Reece had a great sense of humor and his infectious smile would light up a room. He enjoyed dance. Most of all he will be remembered for the joy he brought to any surrounding he was in. "Reese" was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Palmer; his maternal grandfather, Chesterfield Jackson; and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Johnson. "Reese" is survived by his father, Maurice Edmonds; his sister, Danielle Jameison; his fraternal grandparents, Alvin and Carolyn Edmonds; his maternal grandmother, Glorianne Jackson; numerous aunts and uncles, Donna Fulcher, Franklyn and Mike Jackson, Michael Riley, Denise Ruff, Debbie, Heather and Wesley Wilson; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Union Baptist Church, 1200 N. Trade Street Winston-Salem, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Maurice E. Edmonds, and Maurice E. Edmonds II, Donation account at Wells Fargo Bank.
