NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Mr. Michael Randolph Reynolds, 57, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, in New Port Richey, Fla. He was born July 13, 1947, in Sapelo Island, Ga. to the late Richard Joshua Reynolds Jr. and the late Marianne Byrne O'Brien Reynolds. He was of the Catholic faith, was self-employed and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Michael was a grandson of R.J. Reynolds Sr., founder of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. He is survived by a sister, Irene Reynolds of Emmetten, Switzerland; two brothers, Patrick Cleveland Reynolds of Brentwood, Calif. and William Neal Reynolds of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Reynolds Family Cemetery at Reynolds Homestead in Critz, Va. with the Rev. Fred P. Gilley, Patrick Reynolds and former Virginia Attorney General, Mar Sue Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Family cemetery with full military honors provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the Continuing Education Center at Reynolds Homestead. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the Foundation for a Smokefree America, P.O. Box 492028, Los Angeles, CA 90049-8028. In recent years, Michael strongly supported the tax exempt group, www.Anti-smoking.org Howell Funeral Home in Stuart, Va. is serving the Reynolds family.

I knew Mike many years ago when we were both freshmen at St. Leo College. I'm sorry to hear of his untimely death.
