Not sure what to say?

Mr. Liipfert was a thoughtful (would bring Godiva chocolates) and generous man. He always asked about my family and especially my Mother who resides in the wonderful hills of Ashe County. Mr. Liipfert supported D03’s charitable events. I would send him a newsletter and mention our charitable event and sometimes he would just call me back and say – well, how much is this going to cost me…I appreciated his friendship and will miss speaking with him.

I only knew Mr. Liipfert after he retired from Roadway. He visited often after I started 22 years ago and was pure pleasure to be around. He was also a very giving person and held the upmost respect from all. Our prayers and sympathy are with you today. May God surround you with His love.

Your husband and father was a great man admired by all who knew him. I truly loved and respected Mr.Liipfert. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to visit him in his home and meet his beautiful wife late last Fall. What a true Southern Lady. I wish now I had gone back by for another visit. He was truly a joy to be around, He never stopped being Commander in Chief. May God bless you all.

To let you know my thoughts of deepest sympathy are with the Liipfert family today. I was fortunate enough to have several conversations with your dad over the last few years. Either he was requesting me to send “The Roadway Story” to someone, or advising me the “tomatoes are on the way!” Always the gentleman and always thinking Orange and Blue!
