Pat was born November 5, 1930, to Jasper Anderson and Elvira Scott Anderson in the Dozier Community of Forsyth County. Pat was the twelfth of thirteen children. Her sisters were Leota Hawks, Della Bodenheimer, Nettie Anderson, Bess Southern, Ann Mabe, Sarah Anderson, and Beatrice Merritt, and brothers were John, Jim, Lee, Buford, and Worth.

Ms. Puckett was preceded in death by eleven siblings, and her husband, Kermit Puckett in 1971. She is survived by her sister, Ann Mabe of Pfafftown, and her nieces and nephews. Pat worked in the same job at RJR for 34+ years in one downtown Winston-Salem factory. She loved her church family and remained close to an older sister, Ann Mabe, throughout life, and also to several classmates at Old Richmond School from the 1930's and '40's era.

The staff at Salemtowne Healthcare were most appreciated by Pat and her family for their loving and caring assistance during the past three years.

Ms. Puckett died on Wednesday, May 26 at the age of 90. A celebration of life service will take place at Salem Funeral Home on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem on Sunday, May 30 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Elisha Robertson is officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery at Poplar Springs Church of Christ in King, NC beside her late husband, Kermit. Memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church in Tobaccoville.
