Percy Young Obituary

YOUNG MIDWAY - Mr. Percy Young, 64, of 158 Eastwood Road, Midway, also known as "Little Daddy," passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born Sept. 6, 1943, to Percy and Lena Young. Mr. Young received his education from the Davidson County public school system and was an employee of Vacar Battery. He last worked for Sara Lee. He was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Mrs. Patricia D. Young of the home; five children, Kennan, Stanley, Monica and Carlos Young and Benton Lee Pierce, all of the home; six grandchildren; six sisters; three brothers; a godsister; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church in Midway, with the Rev. Paul Milton officiating. Interment will follow in Brooks Temple United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 25, at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church.
