Richard Dennis "Doodie" Hutchens

HUTCHENS YADKINVILLE ~ Richard Dennis "Doodie" Hutchens, 53, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Hutchens was born January 20, 1958 to Raymond Alford and Lacey Renegar Hutchens. Mr. Hutchens enjoyed playing Bluegrass music on his Banjo and he also enjoyed doing carpentry work, hunting, fishing, and most of all, just making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Coe Hutchens; his mother, Lacey Renegar Hutchens; a son, Ronnie Gray (Leslie) Hutchens; step-children, Amber (Mike) Fulk, Bryan (Jan) Mendenhall; step-grand-children, Brett, Mackenzie, Alexis, and Nick; sisters, Sherry Turner, Vickie (Jimmy) Warden, Karen Hutchens, and Angie (Jay) Brendle; brothers, Ray Hutchens, Roger (Ann) Hutchens, Randy (Karen) Hutchens, Ricky Hutchens, Greg (Robin) Hutchens; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Richmond Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center. His Funeral will be conducted on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Richmond Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Will Hamrick and Brother Lawrence Warden. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thank you to John Lowder, Diedra Redmon, and the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care and kindness given to Mr. Hutchens.
