Robert "Bobby" Ernest Brinkley, 64, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, at his second home in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Bobby was born on August 12, 1958, in Charleston, WV, to the late Donald Chiron and Shirley Delph Brinkley and was their only child. He and his wife, Bess, are members at First Christian Church of Walnut Cove and he was also a Mason in Walnut Cove. Bobby was the owner of both Brinkley Entertainment Ride Company and McBride Concession Food Company. He was the recipient of the Holmes/McBride Lifetime Achievement Award for the industry he both loved and achieved success within.
Left behind to cherish Bobby's memory are his loving wife, Bess Brinkley; and mother-in-law, Janine Brinkley of Walnut Cove; his sister-in-law, Kim Pettie; and uncle, Jimmy McBride, of Eden. Bobby also had multiple grandchildren that he always spoke of as a blessing to both he and Bess' life.
There will be a 1:30 p.m. funeral service held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at First Christian Church of Walnut Cove, with Pastor Abby Catoe officiating. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery, 867-893 Bryant St., Eden, NC 27288, at 3:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

I worked for his dad Don Brinkley and Bobby and Bess. They offered me a chance in life but as a kid I was hard headed and didn't realize the opportunity I passed up. I have just learned of his passing today from RC Cole. I have succeeded in life and wish they could see me now. I hope your doing well Bess.

You could always count on Bobby to get things done. His love for Brinkley entertainment only paled in comparison to his love for Bessy. His professionalism and attention to detail is what made Brinkley entertainment one of the best in the business. Rest in Peace my friend.!

I have know bob for about 9-10 years, he came to the MEIGS county fair and we didn´t get off on the right foot the first time we meet, but after that he was the most professional person I had the pleasure to work with, he alway helped me with my food vendors in placement and we always had a good time the week of our fair. You will be missed by many. The way you took my son ( Bruce ) in just like he was your son made me fill like family also. Till we meet again my friend.
