He was born in Baltimore, MD on May 7, 1963 to the late Robert Henry Camp and Elizabeth Chambers Camp. He was my buddy for the duration of the program and well beyond. In social meetings, in the stands of Wake Forest soccer, he was always a pleasure to see. Last time we met at a DataMax gathering he made sure that the chair next to him was saved for me.
One of the most intelligent and kind people anyone would ever find. A wise mentor, an empiricist, and a wonderful heart to blend perfectly. What an incredible loss for his family and friends. The memory of his spirit and smile should make all of us better people.

To Rob's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know Rob through Leadership Winston-Salem. He and I had the opportunity to talk a number of times during those busy days. Following the program, it was a tremendous joy to regularly bump into him downtown as we were both headed to lunch or just getting some fresh air. Rob was full of kindness, curiosity, and showed such a warm spirit that he made me a better person and left me feeling very good about the day when we finished our brief chats. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. His legacy of kindness is something very special and will always be cherished.

I did not know Rob but I have known his wife Laura for several years now. I know he was wonderful because he has a wonderful wife. Laura, I know there are no words that can ease the pain but just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rob and I worked together for several years as volunteers on the City of W-S small loan board. Rob was a great addition to our group due to his deep credit experience and strong analysis capabilities. More importantly, he took this work seriously and always treated applicants with fairness & respect. He will be missed.

Rob was a really nice guy. We parked in the same lot and met because he parked in my spot. He was really serious then when we talked I realized he was funny and love to pick. He would ask me everytime we saw eachother if I paid for his parking. He will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family. Marilyn Cason
