January 29, 1936 - February 4, 2021
Mr. Robert "Bob" Edgar French of Mt. Airy passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on February 4th, 2021. He was born in Forsyth County to the late Hubert and Almena French. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert French. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy "Dot" Shutt French, his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Thacker, granddaughter Emily Hilyard and family, a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Barbara French; sisters-in-law Florence French and Linda Shutt, along with many loved extended family including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Frenches owned and operated French, Inc. until retirement. There will be a private family viewing with a memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church/Winston-Salem or Mountain Valley Hospice. Arrangements being made through Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy.
