Robin Owens Obituary

MOUNT AIRY - Ms. Robin Denise Hicks Owens, 44, of 182 Meadowview Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Ms. Owens was born Aug. 29, 1961, in Surry County to Claudia Stevens Hicks and the late John William Hicks. She was a registered nurse in the ICU at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She is survived by a daughter, Emily Danielle Owens, of the home; her mother, Claudia Stevens Hicks of Mount Airy; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Sherrie and Mitch Jessup and Tammie Brinkley, all of Mount Airy, and Debbie Forrest of Raleigh; six nieces and nephews, Ronnie Thomas of Pilot Mountain and Ryne Jessup, Ashley Forrest, Kalyn Jessup, Olivia Brinkley and Baylor Brinkley, all of Mount Airy; and special friend Misty Williamson and son Jake of Mount Airy. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Skyline Memory Gardens. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Trent Lyons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Claudia Stevens Hicks, 215 McBride Road, Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Emily Danielle Owens Savings Fund, c/o Claudia Stevens Hicks, 215 McBride, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

We will always remember Robin for her sweet smile, and her gently laugh. She was a good person and did her job as a nurse well. We will miss her, our blessing and prayers go out to Emily and the Family. God Bless you all.
