Roger Caudle Obituary

Roger Dale Caudle Sr., 81, passed away peacefully at his home in King, NC, on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Born on May 19, 1944, in Winston-Salem, NC, Roger was the youngest of twelve children born to Thomas Brady and Ruth Mock Spurgon Caudle. He grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, a foundation that shaped his life and values.

Roger shared 62 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara Ann East Caudle. Together they raised three children, Roger Dale Caudle Jr. (Chrissy), Joel Andrew Caudle, and Deborah Michele Bacon. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Darlene Ann Caudle, William Tracy Wachob (Sydni), Michael Dale Caudle (Gracie), Tabitha Michele Evans (TJ), Austin Lee Murphy, and Wynter Grace Cashion, and great-grandchildren, Samuel Grayson Evans, Maisie Grace Evans, and Jasper Coy Wachob.

He is also survived by his sister, Jackie Shore (Gerald) and several nieces and nephews who cherished his presence in their lives.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Tom, Oscar, Cecil, Ray, Margaret, Evenlyn, Florence, Hazel, Jean, and Gerri.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Liberty Baptist Church, 1548 Old Hollow Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

The family like to express a special thank you to Trellis Supportive Care and Liberty Baptist Church. Any donations can be made to them.

Roger's life was rooted in faith and family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
