Ruby Clyburn Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Lee Watkins Clyburn, 58, of 1311 Palmetto Drive departed this life Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at 10:25 a.m. at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born to Samual and Ruth Watkins of Walkertown. She was a former member of Ministry of Truth and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her loving husband for 37 years, Donald G. Clyburn; a daughter, Ms. Marlene Clyburn; two sons, Michael and Eric Clyburn, all of the home; her parents, Samual and Ruth Watkins of Walkertown; three sisters, Aurelia W. Kennedy, Martharay (Essick) Williams and Virginia (Walter) Dixon, all of Walkertown; and five brothers, James S. Watkins, Ruben (Patricia) Watkins, Calvin (Emmogene) Watkins, Roy (Lorraine) Watkins and Bernard Watkins, all of Walkertown; four grandchildren, Erica Lewis, Jasmine Clyburn, Cierra Clyburn and Josiah Clyburn; six sisters-in- law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her church family. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. and the service right after by Bishop J.C. Parks. Interment will be at the Watkins Cemetery in Walkertown. She can be seen after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beasley Funeral Home, 3001 Old Greensboro Road, Winston-Salem.
