WALKERTOWN - Mrs. Ruby Diles Hall, 73, a loving mother who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2003. Mrs. Hall was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Pikeville, Ky., a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Myrtle Mae Meadows Diles. She attended Green Valley Baptist Church in Walkertown and was a retiree of Adams-Millis with 25 years' service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Hall; a son, Evan Andrew Hall; two brothers, Bobby Diles and James Diles; and a sister, Lucinda Diles. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Nora and Wade Smith of Virginia Beach, Va., Anita and Richard Casper of Kernersville and Joann and Rudy Peele of Walkertown; a son and his wife, Tommy and Kathi Hall of Robinsonville, Miss.; four sisters, Bertha Branham and Ottie England of Albion, Mich., Margaret Thacker of Walkertown, DeEtta Johnson of Augusta, Ga., and Faye Burnette of Spruce Pine; two brothers, Jackie Diles of Shelbiana, Ky., and Richard Diles of Okochobee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jesse Holt, Michelle Floyd, Shannon Holt, Jonathan Smith and James Hall; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Loftis, Jacob Floyd, Sidney Holt and Jessica Holt; and three great-grandchildren to be. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Green Valley Baptist Church, Walkertown by the Rev. Wayne Dunn and Pastor Wade Smith. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Hulda Baptist Church Cemetery, 7187 Old NC Highway 18, Asheboro. Memorials may be directed to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or Crisis Control Ministry Inc., 200 E. 10th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
