Sheila Griffin Obituary
May 27, 1950 - February 1, 2024
Mrs. Sheila Lockridge Griffin, 73, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on May 27, 1950, in Henderson County, Kentucky to the late Lloyd Allen and Mary Stone Lockridge. Mrs. Griffin retired as a teacher from Clemmons Elementary School after 27 years of service. She attended First Baptist Church of Clemmons and enjoyed working puzzles and reading. Surviving is her husband, Bob Griffin; son, Nicholas Mitchell (Mindy); two grandchildren, Sierra McKenzie Mitchell and Bristol Paige Mitchell; step-daughter, April Leigh Thomas; two step-grandsons, Griffin Thomas and Tucker Thomas; also surviving is a sister, Ginger Burton (Ken).
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Mr. Ken Burton officiating. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
