Susie Lyalls Obituary

LYALLS NORTH WILKESBORO, NC - MRS. SUSIE BURGESS LYALLS May 30, 1948 - Sept. 5, 2011 Mrs. Susie Sebastian Burgess Lyalls, age 63, of Maplewood Court, North Wilkesboro died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Pine View Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Poole, Rev. Travis Brown and Rev. Roger Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Mrs. Lyalls was born May 30, 1948 in Wilkes County to Rudy and Myrtle Dillard Sebastian. She was a hairdresser and a waitress. Mrs. Lyalls was a member of Pine View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Elaine Burgess; a brother, Larry Eugene Prevette; a half-sister, Norma Jean Foster and a half-brother, Ray Tulbert. She is survived by: one son, Barry Eugene Burgess of North Wilkesboro; one surrogate son, Donnie Brown of North Wilkesboro; one surrogate daughter, Deana Stone of Hays; three sisters, Nannie Rhoades of McGrady, Brenda Prevette Laney of Greensboro, Jeanette Prevette Sneed of Pawnee, OK; three surrogate sisters, Doris Ingram and husband, Roby of Conover, Louise Billings and husband, Morse of Hays, Pat Wood and husband, Donald of Wilkesboro; two brothers, Donald "Sonny" Sebastian and wife Rosa of Gastonia, James Carter Ebberson of Florida; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Sgt. Gary Tilley of North Wilkesboro. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wilkes County EMS, P O Box 187, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Pallbearers will be Shaun Freeman, Dean Jarvis, Terry Taylor, Danny Wiles, Danny Anderson, and T. J. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Sexton, Kevin Foster, Gary Tilley, Dean Roark, Chris Dancy, Charles Hale and Daniel Wagoner. On line condolences may be made at www.reinssturdivant.com.
