Sylvia Ernst Cribb

CRIBB WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Sylvia Ernst Cribb, 73, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Cribb was born in Forsyth County on December 27, 1936 to Wilburn Wallace Ernst, Sr. and Irene Watkins Ernst. A member of Advent Moravian Church, she was also the President of Advent Moravian Senior Friends and the Senior Advisor for the Moravian Southern Providence, Senior Council. Mrs. Cribb was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters: Archie, Patsy Ruth, Olive, Pete, Virginia and Owen. She is survived by her husband, James L. Cribb, of the home; three sons: Paul Cribb and wife, Lynn; Neil Cribb and wife, Karen; Karl Cribb and wife, Julie; grandchildren: Paul Cribb, Jr. and wife, Kristy; Eric Hearl; Sarah Cribb, Emily Cribb, Abigail Cribb, Ashley San-Miguel and husband, Royce; Catherine Cribb and Amy Cribb; two great-grandchildren, Isaac and James; and two brothers: Wilburn W. Ernst, Jr. and George R. Ernst. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, at Salem Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, at Advent Moravian Church officiated by Rev. Roger Kimball and Rev. Sam Carpenter. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
