Thelma Jane Ring Eudy, aka "Mamma Jane," 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 17, 2025. She was born on December 25, 1942 in Winston-Salem to Claude and Myrtle Long Ring. She graduated from Northwest High School and began working as a telephone operator for RJR Tobacco Co. While Jane's most cherished job was being a mother and wife, she was also employed for over 10 years at the Breast Clinic as an insurance secretary.
Jane was devoted to her family, supportive of friends and neighbors, and adored her pets. For many years she enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, gardening and yard work, and was always generous with the fruits of her labor. A woman of faith, Jane attended Pleasant Hill Church and believed in giving back to the community with many hours of volunteer work.
Mamma Jane was known for her sense of humor and fun-loving personality. She loved to chat with neighbors while sitting on her front porch swing, and always looked forward to playing cards with her family on Saturday nights.
In addition to her parents, Jane is predeceased by her brother, Lonnie Ring; sister, Dot Yates; and former spouse of 56 years, Melvin Douglas Eudy. She is survived by her son, Douglas Wade Eudy and wife Waraporn "Tee"; daughter, Ellen Eudy Middleton and husband, Bradford D. Middleton; sisters, Hilda Scott and Sylvia Patterson; brother-in-law, Gordon Yates and sister-in-law, Jeanne Freeman and husband David Freeman; several nieces and nephews; her dog Izzy; and two cats, Rascal and Chippie.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Salem Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 4 p.m., at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, 4691 Vienna-Dozier Rd., Pfafftown, NC 27040.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Also, the family would like to express appreciation to Regina and Lisa for the love, support and care of Mamma Jane. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
