Vickie Blackburn Obituary

Miss Vickie Lee Blackburn went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002. Miss Blackburn was born June 19, 1952, in Forsyth County to Thomas Gary and Peggy Snow Blackburn. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a dedicated employee of the Orthopedic Specialist of the Carolinas, where she worked as a bookkeeper from December of 1975 until she passed away. Her father and one brother, Thomas Gary Blackburn Jr., preceded her in death. Surviving are her mother; a sister, Cynthia Michelle Blackburn; two brothers, James Sherman Blackburn and wife Leigh Anne, and Michael Todd Blackburn; three aunts and four uncles, Betty and Roger Cox, Reba and Jr. Boone, and Emily Lou Persiani, William Snow, Ralph Blackburn and wife Robin; many special nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends and co-workers. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Woodland Cemetery, with Pastor Ed Sears officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. A special thanks to all of the staff at The Cancer Center of Forsyth Medical Center.

We were so sorry to hear that Vickie had lost her battle. We know that she is in a better place, but that does not make it any easier for us go give her up.

I know that we do not see you'll very much but we think of you often.
