Violet Ann Swain, born in 1942 in Lewisville, NC, entered her heavenly home on November 27, 2025.
Born to Lindsay and Etta Stewart, Violet grew up surrounded by faith, family, and a deep love for the simple joys of life.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry; her parents; and all of her siblings, whose memories she held close throughout her life.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Jan Hubbard; her son, Richard "Benny" Rumley; and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her warmth, guidance, and loving spirit.
A devoted member of Waughtown Baptist Church, Violet's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and shared that love with everyone she met. Violet found joy in being surrounded by friends and family, often entertaining them with her wonderful stories and gentle humor. She also had a lifelong passion for tending to her flowers and plants, nurturing them with the same care she gave to those she loved.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, yet her spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The family would also like to mention and thank her two special caregivers, Gina Wagoner and Michelle Guest, for their dedicated love and support.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Salem Funeral & Cremation Service, Downtown Chapel, 120 S Main St W-S, NC 27101. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
