PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - William F. Haubrich, 72, of Litchfield Country Club died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Waccamaw Community Hospital following an illness. Born May 12, 1931, in Wyandotte, Mich., he was the son of the late William and Mary Kovaleski Haubrich. Mr. Haubrich was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Litchfield County Club Men's Golf Association, a member of Knights of Columbus and a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Madeline "Mimi" Cameron Haubrich; a son, Stephen C. Haubrich of Surfside Beach; a daughter, Ann Brown and her husband, Dan of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren, Julie E. Brown and Alex W. Brown; a brother, Joseph Haubrich of Oro Valley, Ariz.; and a sister, Mary Jelinski of Wyandotte, Mich. A memorial Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island. Memorials may be made to Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church Building Fund, 1633 Waverly Road, Pawleys Island, SC 29585. Litchfield-Pawleys Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
