William Templeton Obituary

Mr. William Grady Templeton, 87, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, in his home. William was born to the late Fred and Peggy Templeton on March 10, 1935, in Iredell County, NC. For many years, William was a member of Olivet Moravian Church where he spent many Sundays serving the Lord. Throughout his life, William was an avid collector of stamps and coins. He also took up the hobby of racing homing pigeons in his earlier years of life. Later on, he became a ham radio operator and then moved on to be a tile setter for a large construction business. William was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Chester Damron; his two brothers, James "Jimmy" Templeton and David Damron; and his daughter, Cynthia T. Kiser. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret Wyatt Templeton; and his son, William "Spanky" Templeton, Jr. A graveside service will be held for William on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Parklawn Memorial Park with Travis Templeton officiating.
