Wilma Lee Butner Hauser

HAUSER WINSTON-SALEM ~ Wilma Lee Butner Hauser Nov. 24, 1923 - Nov. 16, 2011 Wilma Lee entered the loving arms of her Lord surrounded by her family. She was born to Robert Lee and Annie Lee Kirby Butner. She lived in Tobaccoville and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she was the pianist in earlier years. In 1940, she graduated from Old Richmond High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Lauriston Hauser, whom she faithfully cared for many years at home. She was devoted to her family, always making holidays special for each one of them. She loved to laugh and dance. During this past year, Wilma Lee suffered much pain but is pain free now because she has a new body that is perfect. She is survived by a daughter, Kaye Hauser; grandchildren, Shelley Moser, Jeffrey Creasman (Lori); great grandchildren, Justin Creasman, Ashland Kittrell, and Lauren Creasman; step-great grandchildren, Destiny Frye and Gracie Rogers. Wilma Lee worked at PH Hanes Knitting Co., Hinkles Book Store, Hanes Hosiery and retired from RJ Reynolds. She was diligent all of her life, maintaining her house and large yard well into her 70's. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant UMC, Meadowbrook Dr., Tobaccoville on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant UMC Building Fund in care of Beverly Kallam, 221 Glenn Ave, King, NC 27021, or Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, WS, NC 27103.
