You are truly missed and loved. I think of our last conversation and how we just laughed. You are always in my thoughts. Good, bad or indifferent you loved me for me and vice versa. I thank God for our time together. Your children are beautiful and I keep in touch with them. I remind them of how so very proud you would be of them. They remind me of you. Love you dear sister and continue to rest in the Lord.

Woke up this morning eager to start my 2018 New Year's Resolutions. First commitment on my list was to make contact with old friends who played an integral part in my life but through the years we lost touch due to life's circumstances. Wilma Wallace was No.1 on my list to contact. I surfed the internet to locate her and was devastated and deeply saddened to learn of her passing. I cried! I cried for different reasons. Especially knowing I won't be able to talk to her again (in this lifetime) as well as wishing I could have attended her service to bid her farewell.
For those who are unaware, Wilma and I attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia in the early 80's. We became very close friends...after college we kept in touch as often as possible...I returned to Jersey for a short period after graduation. I moved a lot because my Father was in the Air Force...moved to Germany...then back to Philly...even stayed with Wilma for a short period during my transitions...overseas again...and finally established myself in N. Virginia. The constant moves are reason for our disconnects. Last time Wilma and I spoke was in 2011.
I want her family to know that Wilma had the biggest heart, one of the most genuine people I've ever met, kind and true to her word, told great stories, very funny, and very talented.
Would love to speak to her family not only share my heartfelt condolences but also share some fun stories that Wilma and I had experienced together from age 18 to 40's. [email protected].
Love you my friend, Wilma!!!
Forever in my heart,
Love Lillie Downs

Wilma,I miss you, but I know you are in a better place I don't believe you would come back here on earth if you were given the chance. Being with Jesus is the most rewarding of all, you earned it, you were full of life, kind, loving and gentle. Life's struggles are over for you now so you REST IN PEACE.

My deepest sympathy to the children and family of Sister Wilma Wallace. I have many fond memories of Wilma. We became friends shortly after she joined St John Baptist Church of Pennsauken. She had a love for gardening as I do and we spent many hours keeping the flower beds looking good. She always helped with decorating the church for the holiday, was instrumental in getting the womens fellowship started, sang in the church choir, and Inspirations praise and worship team. She had a food ministry, always at work for the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds me of Wilma. Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
I love you and will miss you.

We only knew Wilma for a very short time, but could see that she had something special about her. She was liked by all who met her at First Baptist Church's Life Matters Sunday School Class. All the things that we were trying to learn about the greatness of our Savior, she now knows. May God bless her family.

We only had the privilege of know Wilma for a short time after she moved to Sanford, NC. What a wonderful, delightful lady she was. She attended Sanford Jobseekers and was so happy about her new jobs. She joined First Baptist Church and quickly became loved by all who met her--through her Life Matters class, Chapel voices Cchoir, and the Different Strokes Art group. She will be greatly missed. We had many talks about God's direction in her life and I know she is rejoicing in heaven. We will miss her smile and love of life. Cindy Hall, Minister of Outreach and Activities,

Wilma, I will miss talking to you over the telephone as we cooked our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners trying to see who got their macaroni and cheese or greens done yet. LOL! Mostly I will miss talking to you about just anything and you always knew the right thing to say as we laughed to the wee hours of the morning. I will always love you and never forget you my beautiful sister. Gone but never forgotten.....Love forever and a day your big sis T.
