Generose Kast
January 20, 1936 - September 18, 2025
Generose "Genny" M. Kast, 89, formerly of Randolph, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Generose was born on January 20, 1936, in Columbus, Wisconsin, to Alfred and Verna (Peters) Geiger, Sr. She graduated from Columbus High School. On August 7, 1954, she was united in marriage with Kurth "Kurt" Kast at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Columbus. Their 70+ years of love and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them.
Genny took great pride in her family; she was an amazing mother and homemaker, as well as a doting grandmother. She kept an immaculate house and she loved decorating it for various seasons and holidays. Family was the heart of her life. She looked forward to hosting pool parties, baseball parties, family reunions, or any other family celebration on the family homestead. Genny was an extraordinary hostess who was always sure to have plenty of great food prepared with love for all who attended.
For many years, Genny worked as the bookkeeper at their family business, South Randolph Implement. She was active in the South Randolph Ladies Group Card Club and the Fox Lake Ladies Bowling League. Genny was a devout member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake. Her faith was an important part of her daily life.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Greg (Carol) Kast of Randolph, Lisa (Jerry) Warmka of Iron Ridge, Lucy (Kevin) Malter of Fond du Lac, Ken (Shelia) Kast of Waupun, and Keith Kast (Katie Maly) of Waupun; grandchildren, Andrew (Michelle) Kast, Gwendolyn (Jason) Hermes, Curtis (Jessica) Kast, Tyler (Breanna) Warmka, Travis (Kayla) Warmka, Calli (fiancé Tyler Houston) Malter, Cody (fiancée Callie Mischler) Kast, MaKenna (fiancé Jak Lenz) Kast, and Kaden Kast; and 13 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother, Beatrice (Donald) Dunning of Columbus, and James (Linda) Geiger of Windsor; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Geiger, Carol Geiger, and Jerry Tjugum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Genny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kurt in February of this year; her daughter, Linda Kast; her brothers and sisters, Savilla (Walter) Retzlaff, Alfred Jr., Arlene (Doyle) Heller, Roger (Lois), Vern, Joan Karow, and Rosemary Tjugum; her granddaughter, Rebecca Kast; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Freda Kast; and brothers-in-law, Howard (Margaret) Kast and Donald (Edith) Kast.
A visitation for Genny will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will at church beginning at 11 a.m. with Father Will Arnold officiating. Interment will be at Lost Lake Cemetery in Lost Lake, Wisconsin.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Christian Home Assisted Living Staff; your dedication and care made Genny feel at home and to Hospice Home of Hope for their empathy and care. Also, special thank you to Dr. Sunil Kumar at SSM Health for treating our mother and our family like your own. Your kindness will always be remembered by our family.
