Jean E. Krobert
May 25, 1943 - Jan. 2, 2024
BEAVER DAM - Jean E. Krobert, age 80, of Beaver Dam, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Jean was born on May 25, 1943, the daughter of Christ and Ruth (Henrich) Aellig. On January 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to her husband, Gordon Krobert.
During the 62 years they spent together, they enjoyed biking together and traveling the world. They loved going out to eat and exploring new restaurants while on their travels, as well as antiquing. Jean was an avid reader and was proud of the gardens she kept in her younger years. She was a member of the Lions Club, and formerly the Lioness Club, where she served as Treasurer. Above all, Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Krobert; son, Dr. Kurt Krobert, PhD; daughter-in-law, Jane Arveseter; son, Cory (Linda) Krobert; grandchildren: Jonas Krobert and Noah Krobert (Kurt) and Benjamin Krobert (Cory); sister, Janet Vredeveld; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Aellig; sister-in-law, Barbara Hammer; and other relatives.
A memorial gathering for Jean will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, WI from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Laurie Firari, Ginny Klug, as well as Jean's friends and neighbors of Shady Oaks.
If desired, memorials in Jean's name may be directed to Agrace HospiceCare or to the Dodge County ADRC.
