Kyle Gourlie Obituary

Kyle Gourlie

January 22, 1977 - March 4, 2025

It with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved husband, son, and brother, Kyle, who was embraced by eternal rest on March 4, 2025, at the early age of 48, after a courageous and valiant fight with cancer with his wife, Andrea, always by his side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Ed Kornath presiding. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville and a luncheon will follow at the Mayville Golf Club.

Kyle was born on January 22, 1977, in Beaver Dam, to Dale and Karen (Kamrath) Gourlie. He was united in marriage to Andrea Bosch, the love of his life, on August 24, 2024, at St. Mary's in Mayville.

Kyle's journey began in the Mayville School District and continued when he graduated from the University of Whitewater. After graduation, he was employed at Quad Graphics in Lomira, from there he continued on to Metalcraft of Mayville where he started as a safety manager and worked his way up to the Vice President of Operations (a job he truly loved!).

Kyle worked hard, but found time for fun and his passions. As a huge Badger fan, on Saturdays you would find Kyle in Section Y2 at Camp Randall Stadium.

He enjoyed salmon fishing on Lake Michigan with his second dad, George, who taught him everything he knew about fishing on the big lake. Kyle also enjoyed walleye fishing, turkey and deer hunting, trap shooting and an occasional round of golf. He also loved to bowl and even bowled a 300 game!

Kyle's free spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Andrea; his parents: Dale and Karen Gourlie; brother, Todd (Kristen) Gourlie; his grandmother, Arlene Kamrath; his father-in-law, John (Joy) Bosch; his mother-in-law, Wendy (special friend, Rodney Dewitz) Bosch; sisters-in-law: Danielle (David) Christian, Becky (Shawn) Geelan, Amy (Joe) Radcliffe, Justin (Jodi) Schraufnagel, and Erica Schraufnagel. Further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Orville Kamrath; grandmother, Bertha Gourlie; uncles: Duane and Donald Gourlie, and aunt, Delores Laufenberg.

For all those who knew Kyle, you knew how much he loved his red and white; please feel free to wear Badger apparel in honor of him.

Kyle's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend, as well as friends and family who visited, sent prayers and well wishes.
