Lisa LaReau Obituary

Lisa Ann LaReau, age 64, passed away in Texas on Thursday, January 25, 2024. A private family gathering will be held.

Lisa grew up in Beaver Dam, WI, delighting in the time the family spent at local airports and with local skydiving clubs. After high school, she joined the Navy and lived in Southern California. She returned to Beaver Dam to start a family and owned and operated several businesses there over the years, including The Pub. Later Lisa became an over the road truck driver, working for various companies.

Her soft spot was for stray animals. She was always trying to help the dogs and cats that came across her path. She once rescued a 6 week old kitten off of a 5 lane highway.

Survivors include her daughter, Dayann LaReau (Jesse Pasterski), sisters Dawn Klein and Rene LaReau, and brother Mark LaReau. She is also survived by step siblings, cousins, and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were her son, Dylan LaReau, mother Diana LaReau-Schwantes, father Armand LaReau, step father Deryl Schwantes and other relatives.

Memorials can be made to the animal shelter of your choice.

Deepest condolences to Dayann, Rene, Mark and Dawn. Didn't spend a lot of time w/Lisa as we both enlisted in the Navy and were off in different directions early on, but always had fun with her when we did cross paths. Fair winds and following seas to her free spirit!
Love,
Jay
