Patrick McNulty Obituary
July 5, 1938 - December 3, 2025
Patrick M. "Pat" McNulty, age 87, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Home Again in Columbus, Wis. Pat was born on July 5, 1938, to Clarence and Norma (Edman) McNulty in Columbus.
Pat graduated from Columbus High School, Class of 1957. He joined the U.S. Army and served for two years, along with four years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He met Claudia Dodd in Madison following her graduation from UW Madison. They married and moved to Indiana. Pat worked for Kirby Risk and then Dodd Electric/Keystone Lighting. Claudia did continuing education and work at Purdue University. Pat retired in 2012, where they both enjoyed keeping up with family, friends and photography. They enjoyed many trips together for years with a travel club where they flew to Las Vegas and NYC, to name a few. They also enjoyed driving trips with friends to Chicago, Nashville and Cincinnati. He enjoyed class reunions with his fellow classmates over the past several years.
Pat is survived by his nieces, Sheila (Phil) Worthen, Kara (Dennis) Inabnet and Sara Dodd; nephews, Kevin (Lori) McNulty, Michael (Tracy) McNulty and Justin Dodd; brother-in-law, Gregg Dodd; sister-in-law, Ev McNulty; great friends, Mark and Nancy Gargula of Indiana, G.D. Roberts, Dennis Vinz; great-nieces; great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Claudia in 2016; his brother, Bob McNulty; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Luwanna Dodd; sister-in-law, Kathryn Dodd.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m., with full military honors at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Columbus Country Club, Columbus.
Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Area Historical Society or Prairie Ridge Health.
A special thank you to the staff at Home Again in Columbus who took wonderful care of him, the staff at Poser Clinic, SSM Oncology Staff and all his great neighbors.
