Roger J. Hauge
April 5, 1944 - October 26, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle after a courageous three year battle with stroke and colon cancer. Roger J. Hauge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 81, at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison.
He was born on April 5, 1944 to Olaus and Gladys (Tjugum) Hauge. He was raised on a farm near Fall River where he attended the Englewood one room schoolhouse. He continued his education at Fall River High Shool where he graduated in 1962. He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Hollnagel on April 11, 1964 and they had four daughters.
Roger loved sports and always followed the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. He loved to bowl, golf, and play slow pitch ball and played into his 60's. He loved old cowboy movies ,western swing music, going to horse races and an occasional casino trip.
After working at American Red Cross and Ameripak, he and Bonnie decided to buy a farm. They were dairy farmers for many years and then raised beef and crops. In the meanwhile they flipped several houses. After selling the farm they moved a couple of times and settled in Beaver Dam where they renovated an old mink farm into their retirement home.
Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Hauge; and his daughters, Rochelle and her children, Elijah and Evan; Tya (Dan Hill) and their children Lucas, Brooklyn, and Jackson; Gretchen (Brian Delaney) and their children Apollo and Fischer; and son-in-law, Tom Barber; his sister, Connie Frey, and brother, Charles ( Judy)Hauge, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linnea; his parents' his parents-in-law, Albert and Florence (Huggett) Hollnagel; brothers-in-law, Eugene Frey and Ronald Hollnagel and sister-in-law, Donna Williams; and nephew, Todd Frey; and other relatives.
Thanks to everyone who has reached out, Agrace for their support and special thanks to caregiver, Corey Judd, for making Roger's life more fun.
Honoring Roger's wishes there will be no services.
