Shari Schell Obituary

Shari Lynne (Sprecher) Schell

September 10, 1941 - November 22, 2025

BARABOO - Shari Lynne (Sprecher) Schell, 84, of Baraboo, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Sauk County Health Care Center surrounded by family and friends. Shari was born to Noble and Harriet (Hood) Sprecher in Baraboo, Wisconsin on September, 10, 1941. She was a part of the Baraboo High School Class of 1959, and was later united in marriage to Thomas Schell on May 19, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Baraboo.

First and foremost, Shari's greatest joy was her family, as you can see by the lists below. Being the youngest in her family, she was the go-to baby sitter for her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events. Along with camping, her hobbies included: sewing, reading, word finds, coloring, and playing cards. But family was her true passion.

Shari had many careers starting in high school working at Sorg's A&W, then in St. Clare hospital records, in addition to Flambeau and for Bill Pierce at Viking. One of her most notable jobs was at St. Vincent de Paul of Baraboo where she devoted 20 years to entertaining both customers and staff, and colleting her treasures!

Shari is survived by her children, Shannon Clark, Stacey (Jason) Garbacz, Kerry Schell, and step- daughter, Yvonne Wright. She is further survived by daughters-in-law, Diane (Mike) Mountford, Debbie Schell and Lisa Schell; her grandchildren, Ashlee (James) Little, Ryan (Melissa) Schell, Thomas Schell, Casey (Alyssa) Schell, Austin Schell (Brittany Walker), Samantha Clark, as well as Spencer, Kayla and Jenna Garbacz; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Elise, James, Bryn, Kashton, Anasthashia, Stella, Layla, Lincoln; in-laws, Mike (Mary) Schell, Candace Schell, Maggie Schell, and Carolyn Hagen; and by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sheri was preceded in death by sons, Shawn and Kevin; daughter, Kelly; granddaughter, Rylee; siblings and their spouses; George Sprecher, Nola Sprecher, Bonneviere (Edgar) Cole, Mary (Richard) Krueger, John (Barbara) Sprecher, Rodney (Jackie) Sprecher, Leonard (Demi) Sprecher; in-laws, Shirley, Diana, Helen (Harold) Kapelke, Eddie (Bessie) Schell, Donna Greenwood, Bill (Bonnie) Schell, Robert Schell, Dean Schell, Pat (Jerry) Stanke, Larry Schell, Dick (Darleen) Schell and Joe Schell.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Shari will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 304 East St., Baraboo, WI, with Fr. Luke Powers officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SJS Cancer Support team. Baldwin Funeral Services is assisting the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Sauk County Health Care Center. In the last six years that Shari was there, she made many new friends with her sarcasm and wit.
