My cousin Amy was one of the nicest and smartest people I have known. I was sorry not to learn of her passing until now and I will miss her.

I was just talking about Miss Hemming the other day and thanking her for teaching me typing, shorthand, office practice, etc. She was a great teacher! She used to have us typing to music! God Bless You, Amy!

Miss Hemming was a classic teacher. I had her for the two-year secretarial course in 1964-66 and went on to be a legal secretary for 40 years, which gave me a good living. Thank you Miss Hemming and rest in peace. Judy Severson

Amy Hemming was a great teacher. I had her for my business classes at LHS. I used the short hand she had taught for taking notes at college. She was a great teacher and woman. God Bless you, Amy.

Miss Hemming taught me how to type proficiently and how to balance a checkbook and a budget. Both life skills continue to serve me well 50 years later. She made a lifelong difference in her students' lives. Class of 1968.

Miss Hemming inspired all of us to set our standards high, work hard, and maintain an excellent work ethic. I still use the shorthand she taught me (just as she said I would). I will never forget that I was in her class when we all got word of Kennedy's assassination in Dallas. On that day, she guided us with grace and comfort. God bless you, Amy. You changed lives!

I can't tell you how important Amy Hemming was to my life. I always found work no matter where I lived because of all she taught me. With sympathy.

Miss Hemming was one of my favorite teachers at Lincoln High School. A 1972 graduate, who still often uses the shorthand skills taught by Miss Hemming. LuAnn (Stege) Martinson

Well Amy, the day finally came for you to be truly happy. You spent enough time on this earth to see just about everything. I know the people you left behind may be sad but your reward has been given to you. I had you for typing in high school and I thought you were so strict but in hindsight you taught me so much. I appreciate that. You always had a smile for people and a great sense of humor. RIP Miss Hemming as you'll be an asset up there to keep us safe. XOXO

Miss Hemming was my very favorite teacher in high school. She expected nothing but the best from her students, and that's what she got. Rest in peace, Miss Hemming.
